Plate and Palette is a farm to table gastropub that serves seasonal dishes with a focus on seafood. It opened over the winter and is quickly becoming a Sussex County favorite.
This elegant gastropub is one of the most interesting dining spaces in the First State! If you call ahead, you might even be able to dine in the old bank vault itself.
While the menu is diverse, the seafood dishes really stand out. Start off with an appetizer like calamari, Belgian mussels, or crab dip.
For dinner, choose from Delmarva favorites like the tasty and flavorful locally sourced soft shell crabs...
...or a fresh Atlantic salmon served with applewood bacon, garlicky spinach, and other seasonal sides.
The seared scallops are always a hit. They're served over cheesy parmesan risotto with garlic pan-roasted tomato.
If you aren't a big seafood eater, enjoy a gourmet burger topped with melted cheese, applewood bacon, mushrooms and onions served on brioche.
