Maryland gets all the credit for good crabcakes, but Delawareans know that our state is hiding the best of the best. One little dive bar in Dewey Beach serves up the most mouthwatering, flavorful, and meaty crabcakes you’ll ever have and it’s open year-round.

It hasn't taken long for Woody's in Dewey Beach to make a big splash in the Mid-Atlantic.
Right now is the best time of year to visit, before the summer crowds really pick up. During the busiest months, During the summer, they sell 350-400 crab cakes each day!
The crabcakes at Woody's are served as a sandwich, on their own or on top of one of their salads. You can order them with housemade Old Bay chips, fries, plain chips, or veggies.
The crab source and recipe is top secret, and the restaurant won't even reveal the source of their fresh brioche buns. Someone once tried to pay a server $300 for the recipe, but of course, they were denied.
You can find the best crabcakes in Delaware at 1904 Coastal Highway, Dewey Beach, Delaware. They are open year round, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 AM. On a nice day, plan to sit outside on their front patio!
