Travel Back To The ’80s At 1984, A Vintage-Themed Adult Arcade In Delaware
Is there anything more fun than reliving your glory days? For us, some of the best moments of our childhood were competing against our pals to beat the high score at the local arcade. Later, we were able to do it from the comfort of or own basements, but truthfully we always loved the sights, smells and sounds of that arcade. Today, you can experience it just the way you remember with a few liquid improvements!
Reliving the glory days of video games and big hair is easy when you head to 1984 in Wilmington. Can't rock that big hair anymore? That's okay, it's not a necessity to play here.
There's nothing quite like the thrill of trying to beat that high score and with games like Frogger, Pac-Man and Centipede there are plenty of chances.
The only thing that might be different about thisarcade compared to the ones of your youth is the drink menu. There are over 20 different type of craft beer on tap here, not to mention the cocktails and wine. You'll also find more than 30 beers that come in bottles.
While they don't serve food, you're more than welcome to bring your own (maybe mom can pack you something like in the old days!) or you can order something for delivery.
1984 Arcade Bar is open Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Monday and Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. You can learn more about them on their website or follow them on Facebook.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
