Sink Your Teeth Into Venezuelan-Inspired Dishes At Valencia Luncheria In Connecticut
Like much of New England, Connecticut has a tendency to get a bad rap as an isolated place that lacks outside influence. But we’ve actually got quite a few great ethnic restaurants in Connecticut. While many people are familiar with our great Mexican restaurants or excellent Italian eateries, we’ve got even more exotic selections than that! Valencia Luncheria is quite the exciting place. Here, you can get Venezuelan-inspired dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Stop by next time you feel like your taste buds are in need of an international tour!
This colorful spot in Norwalk has such a joyful, fun atmosphere. The food is really creative and like nothing else in Connecticut.
It's so unique that it was featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." It's a tall order to live up to that kind of hype, but Valencia Luncheria manages to do so.
Fieri enjoyed an arepa at the restaurant. It's one of their specialties: a Venezuelan fried tortilla filled with meat and other fillings. There are even dessert arepas! Try the mango and Brie cheese one...yum.
Their sweeping menu encompasses the sweet and the savory. They've even got a full bar with cocktails and bloody Marys.
