Take The Whole Family On A Day Trip To This Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Farm In Connecticut
Does anything say “summer is here” more than biting into the juicy sweetness of a ripe strawberry? What makes those strawberries even tastier is if you picked them yourself. Sure, you can attempt to grow some fruit at home if you’ve got a garden. But for those of us not blessed with green thumbs, another great option is to visit a u-pick fruit farm in Connecticut. We’ve got plenty, and one of our favorite is Starvish Farm in East Windsor. This delightful little family-owned farm is full of a number of different strawberry varieties. The berry season in New England is quite short, and the strawberries are at their best right now!
Starvish Farms has a brand new field for 2022 in East Windsor. The farm's original field is a few miles away in Enfield, but it's currently closed for renovations.
This is a great experience for the whole family. Kids will delight in seeing where the food comes from, and nothing tastes better than a fresh strawberry.
There are several different varieties of strawberries planted here that mature at slightly different times to maximize the number available for picking.
Next time you've got a craving for fresh strawberries, check out Starvish Farm in East Windsor!
