There Are Giant Sculptures All Over At Sculpturedale In Connecticut Just Like Something Out Of A Storybook
Looking for a unique outdoor attraction in Connecticut? How about a giant sculpture park? Sculpturedale is tucked away in Kent. It’s the studio and gallery of local artist Denis Curtiss, who specializes in metal sculptures. Many of his sculptures have been to collectors all over the world. However, plenty of others still reside in the four-acre gardens at his property in Kent.
The gardens are quite beautiful and feature lots of walking paths. There are different types of terrain throughout the property, so you'll see a variety of tree and plants species.
It's so wonderful seeing these unique sculptures out in nature. Seeing the sunlight glimmer off the artwork is a stark contrast to the typically stoic atmosphere of an art museum.
More than 100 sculptures call Sculpturedale home. Curtiss has a special fondness for dogs (he rescues Airedale terriers), but a visit here is like traveling the world and seeing all kinds of exotic species.
All of the pieces of art at Sculpturedale are actually for sale, so you can pick up a sculpture buddy for your personal garden at home!
For more information about Sculpturedale, you can check out Denis Curtiss’s website or Facebook.
