The Nutmeg State is densely populated, but even so, a good bit of our land mass is taken up by forests, and this state park is a wonderful place to see the leaves changing in Connecticut.

The falls are, of course, the most famous feature of the park, but you don't want to miss out on exploring the rest of the area. You can easily spend an entire day wandering around this scenic park and capturing endless photographs. Bring a tripod so you can capture some amazing long exposure shots of the waterfall!

Kent Falls State Park is beautiful in any season, but it's one of our favorite places to enjoy fall in Connecticut. I know it's tricky to nail down when the peak fall foliage will happen, so you'll just have to stay flexible with your plans and pay attention to the weather. One cold snap can completely change the timeline, and if there's one thing Mother Nature is good at, it's throwing curveballs.
