Connecticut Residents Just Can’t Get Enough Of The Hulking Sandwiches From This Tasty Bagel Shop
We may not be quite as known for our bagels as our neighbors in New York, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find wonderful bagels in Connecticut. One of the very best bagel shops in the Nutmeg State is Goldberg’s Bagel Cafe. This West Hartford spot serves up New York-style bagels that are as tasty as any you’d get in the Big Apple. The focus here is on quality, from the bagels themselves to the ingredients within the sandwiches. Whether you’re looking for an enormous sandwich filled with goodies or a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese, you’re sure to leave here satisfied.
Goldberg's Bagel Cafe is a locally-owned spot open for breakfast and lunch.
Note that the shop is currently only accepting call-in or online orders, so you'll need to order before arriving. No walk-in orders are accepted at this time.
The cafe is pretty small, but there are a few seats inside if you'd like to dine in. Weekends are especially busy, so arrive early if you're hoping to have the full range of choices!
The bagels here are made using the family's 50-year old recipe. The secret to a good New York-style bagel is to boil the bread before it's baked, which Goldberg's does.
The sandwiches here are massive! There are an array of choices available for both breakfast and lunch, with traditional options as well as more creative offerings.
