In a state as historic as ours, there's no shortage of great old restaurants in Connecticut, and, of course, there's a reason these places have been in business so long. They're delicious! But supporting local restaurants doesn't mean you have to eat at the same places over and over again. New businesses open up every day, and they need our support just as much as the more long-standing places. Today, we're featuring a new restaurant in East Haven, CT that's got a great back story and some amazing pizzas: Nicky's Place Bar and Pizza. Check it out:

Nicky's Place just opened up in the summer of 2023 and is already proving to be a hit with locals.

The restaurant is owned by a pair of brothers who named it after their brother, Nick. Nick was injured when a tree fell on him several years ago in a freak accident. He survived with life-changing injuries.

Inside of the restaurant, you'll find a cozy, low-key spot that recently added a full bar perfect for watching sports.

Rosy Tomorrow’s has been delighting residents and visitors to Danbury since 1980. It’s housed in an old train car, and while the name hints at the future, the decor is full of references to the past. The interior has a wide variety of antiques, making it almost feel like you’re enjoying a meal in a museum.
