Located in Castle Rock, the aptly named Scileppi's is, indeed, located inside an old stone church that was built in 1888.

How did Scileppi's restaurant come to inhabit this historical masterpiece? When St. Francis of Assisi parish - which built and used the church - moved to a more prominent location in 1966, the building sat abandoned before receiving a second chance as a restaurant in 1975.

When you visit this restaurant in an old church, you will find much of the structure's original character, including the layout, stained glass windows, and wooden pews!

While the history and ambiance are reason enough to visit this church restaurant in Colorado, the food and drinks at Scileppi's also cannot be missed, beginning with charcuterie boards, salad, and other classic starters.
