What are the best natural wonders in Colorado?

Experiencing natural hot springs in Colorado is one of the most unique experiences you can have in the Centennial State. Of course, that’s just the beginning of all the natural wonders that await you. No matter the time of year you travel to Colorado, you can look forward to experiencing some of the country’s most breathtaking and dramatic landscapes. From sand dunes to craggy mountain peaks, open fields, and dense alpine forests, Colorado truly has a little something for everyone. And the best part of all? Many of the state’s most impressive attractions can be enjoyed for free! At the top of the list is Garden of the Gods. Located in Colorado Springs, this jaw-dropping 1,335-acre attraction features the most astounding rock formations dating back 300 million years. Exploring this landscape is akin to experiencing a different planet. If you have time to spare, be sure to enjoy one of the park’s trails that will offer incredible views of the formations. Next up on the list is Manitou Incline in Manitou Springs. Climbing this incline is extremely challenging (there are 2,744 steps!) but as you can imagine, the view from the top is unforgettable. Lastly, a trip to Dinosaur Ridge is a family-friendly adventure that every traveler should experience at least once. Some of the features of the park will cost money but the main Dinosaur Ridge Trail can be accessed for free. It’s here that you’ll be able to spot actual dino tracks. How incredible is that? Some other natural attractions in Colorado worth seeking out include Picketwire Canyon in La Junta, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Paint Mines Interpretive Park in Calhan, Paradise Cove in Guffey, and Telluride’s Mountain Village Gondola.
