Hot Springs in Colorado

How many natural hot springs in Colorado are there?

Colorado is home to at least 93 developed and undeveloped hot springs scattered throughout the state. Three of them are considered “major” hot springs and bring in throngs of visitors and tourists year after year; the big three are Glenwood Springs, Hot Sulphur Springs, and the fabulous Great Pagosa Springs. In the town of Colorado Springs alone, there are at least eight springs; some areas have many more. Of course, for those who prefer a little bit of a challenge and like to hike to their hot springs destinations, no worries – there are plenty of springs with which you may do so in colorful Colorado. Radium Hot Springs is one such adventure you ought to take someday – it’s amazing! There’s something just so relaxing and rejuvenating about natural springs – it’s no wonder they’ve been thought to have healing properties for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. What are some nice winter getaways in Colorado?

Colorado is one of those states where just about everyone dreams of running away during the winter. It’s a perfect place for absolutely unforgettable getaways and vacations, especially when there’s snow on the ground. There are entire towns that make for incredible winter escapes, like Breckenridge and Aspen. Ski resorts are quite popular in Colorado, and so are parks where you can bring the kids for epic sledding or snow tubing adventures. Take the family ice skating on Maggie Pond in Breckenridge while staying at the resort and hitting the slopes every chance you get. Of course, Denver is also wonderful in wintertime, with plenty of festivals, events, and traditions to keep you busy. Come see Colorado in winter – it’s a whole new kind of amazing.
