How The Denver Airport Quietly Became One Of The Most Influential Art Destinations In The World
Next time you’re bustling through Denver International Airport to catch a flight, make sure you take a moment to soak in your surroundings… you might be surprised by what you find. Denver is home to one of the most extensive airport art programs in the world and includes sculptures, murals, and installations that transform DIA from a drab transportation hub into an unexpectedly interesting and beautiful experience.
When traveling to the airport, you're definitely going to notice the big blue mustang sculpture which has been dubbed "Blucifer" by locals.
But some of the beauty that the airport beholds is going to be a little more difficult to spot. You're definitely going to want to put your phone away and take a closer look. You never know what might be right under your feet (literally).
