The Inventing Room recently debuted their new building, located in the SloHI neighborhood of Denver.

They had been without a brick and mortar location for almost a year because their former location, which was found on Lawrence Street in the Ballpark neighborhood, received a surprise eviction notice last November. In the meantime, the Inventing Room took their show on the road through catering services.

How do they do it?

To create their show-stopping desserts with billowing clouds of smoke, the team at The Inventing Room uses liquid nitrogen (kept at a frigid -321 degrees) that they pour over a liquid ice cream base. The nitrogen quickly freezes it, creating minuscule ice crystals.

The result is a delicious, creamy dessert that is a feast for the eyes as well.

The creative concoctions do not end there.

You will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of sweet treats including a Butterbeer float topped with exploding whipped cream, fun-flavored cotton candy, or (if you're not into sweets) the really, really cold Cheetos.

As they utilize blowtorches and other unique techniques to create your order, the team of dessert scientists will share an explanation of the concepts used.
