The Boyce Thompson Arboretum is a wonderful botanical garden found just outside the tiny mining town of Superior, Arizona. It’s nestled along the banks of Queen Creek and exists below the remnants of an ancient volcano known as Picketpost Mountain. At 392 acres in size, it’s home to more than 3,900 species of plants (both native and non-native).
