This Beautiful Bar In Arizona Is Made Of Over 20,000 Pounds Of Crystal Clear Ice

Can you believe how fast the winter months have flown by? It may still feel like we’re in the depths of the snowy season, but spring is right around the corner and we’ll soon be longing for these chilly days when we’re in the midst of a heat wave. Though winter is slowly winding down, everyone's favorite ice bar and frozen playground is set to reopen this spring, promising to come back bigger and better than ever. Check it out:

Polar Play, Arizona’s first and only ice bar, keeps the sub-zero spirit going long after the winter season ends.

Located at the OdySea in the Desert complex in Scottsdale, this indoor attraction keeps life cool by welcoming visitors to a chilly oasis in the midst of the desert.

Despite featuring a bar, there’s something for everyone at this frozen playground. Kids are welcome to join in on the fun during the day, and you’ll find all kinds of family-friendly games like frozen air hockey, corn hole, checkers, and shuffleboard.

Young and old will enjoy frozen air hockey, corn hole, checkers, and shuffle board. There are also supersized versions of classic childhood games like Jenga, Connect Four, and Uno.

In addition to the games, visitors of all ages will enjoy the dazzling Auroras of the laser light show, the upbeat music, cool ice sculptures, and tons of spots to stop for selfies… not to mention the fact that everything here is carved from crystal clear ice!

In the evenings, the Polar Play Ice Bar becomes an adults-only venue. Guests age 21+ will have a blast while bartenders mix up all of your favorite cocktails, as well as slushies and unique coffee beverages for non-drinkers and designated drivers.

Take your drink into The Lodge to defrost next to a roaring fire before re-entering the tundra for some icy fun!

Meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks are also offered if you need to fuel up.

Polar Play is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight (adults-only after 7 p.m.) Admission costs $15 for adults and $10 for kids, which includes the the use of gloves and a parka in the price.
