A Renovated Historic Power Plant In Kodiak Serves The Tastiest Fish In Alaska
If you’re looking for some of the freshest and most delicious Alaskan seafood, Kodiak Hana Restaurant will serve you a meal you won’t forget. Located in Kodiak, Alaska at a renovated power plant, this beautiful restaurant offers stunning views of the Channel and a menu that will make your mouth water.
Alaska is known for its incredible seafood, and the chefs at Kodiak Hana Restaurant prepare it perfectly.
This restaurant is located in an old historic powerhouse, and is only a short drive from downtown Kodiak. The building was renovated into the beautiful restaurant you can visit today.
The restaurant used to be called the Powerhouse Restaurant, before changing its name to "hana," which means flower.
They changed their restaurant logo to Alaska's state flower, the "forget-me-not." Featuring many fresh dishes serving King Crab and other Alaskan specialties, its a fitting name!
Guests claim the fish is so tender it melts in your mouth.
With items like California rolls, nigiri sushi, and even chirashi sushi, if you like seafood, you will find something to love on this menu! Their rolls are flavorful and generous, and use Alaskan seafood when they can.
They serve mouthwatering sushi and sashimi.
If you're in the mood for a little more variety, try any of their delicious steak entrees. Order the "land and sea," with a 6 oz New York Steak, juicy King Crab, and tempura fried lobster tail.
They offer many types of beverages for your enjoyment during dinner.
You can find great local and Japanese beers, and of course flavorful sake. They will serve your sake hot, cold, or you could also order an unfiltered bottle of Nigori!
This restaurant is known for its stunning views of the channel, as it's located right off of Kodiak harbor.
In the spring and summer you can dine on their gorgeous deck, and watch the boats go by. Even in the winter the views are stunning, and occasionally you'll see an eagle perch on the railing of the deck!
This incredible restaurant is open all year long, six days a week.
Visit Tuesday through Thursday for lunch from 11:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m., and for dinner from 5:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. On weekends you can drop by 11:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. for lunch, and 5:00 p.m. through 10:0 p.m. for dinner. Sunday they're only open from dinner, 5:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m., and they're closed on Mondays.
