This route that winds from Anchorage all the way to Seward is filled with towering mountain tops, beautiful forest, and gorgeous scenery. Hop in a car and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime ride!

The first 50 miles of the road take you past the base of the Church Mountain range.

You’ll follow the tidal Cook Inlet, where plenty of wildlife love to frolic. Keep your eyes peeled for beluga whales, Dahl sheep, and more.
After you pass Girdwood and Portage you’ll make your way to the Hope Junction.

Seward Highway begins to wind up and above the mountains, and into Turnagain Pass.

After passing the small and charming town of Moose Pass, you’ll end up in Seward.
