It can be tough, deciding which chocolate chip cookie is best. In fact, most of us have an excellent recipe up our sleeve for our favorite cookie. However, no matter how many cookie recipes you break out of the old recipe box, this Alaska bakery will blow anything you can come up with out of the water! With five star averages on Facebook and TripAdvisor, and a glowing review in Bon Appetit magazine, we think we have found the best chocolate chip cookie you will ever have!
They started their first Alaska bakery, now their flagship store, steps away from downtown Anchorage. An unassuming building in what was initially an unimpressive neighborhood, they chose their location in hopes of helping to improve the area.
It more than worked! Within walking distance of so much activity in downtown, the bakery soon blew up with customers, especially as word of mouth spread of their delicious wares! They continued their pattern of opening bakeries in neighborhood settings, and the next one opened in Airport Heights a couple of years later.
If you're looking for your weekly (or daily) bread purchase, look no further! While your scarfing down your delicious cookie, you'll have plenty of time to peruse their bread offerings.
Besides some traditional loaves that you can find every day, there's always some spectacular specials up on the board, as well. And each loaf of bread looks as delightful as it tastes. This gorgeous bread is their infamous Alaskan Sourdough. Could you really call yourself an Alaskan without trying this beauty?

They offer sweet options, like raspberry lemon zest, or a special flavor like apple bourbon pecan. Or you could try one of their savory options: there's a regular ham cheddar chive that lives on the menu, and they've even been known to put out a fried chicken scone! Hours are the same at all locations, Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
