You Can See 5 Waterfalls In Just One Day Of Hiking In Alabama
Alabama is home to many scenic areas that are perfect for hiking. One place in particular is the William B. Bankhead National Forest, which is simply known as the Bankhead National Forest. The Bankhead National Forest is located in North Alabama and covers 181,230 acres. Hikers from around the country, and even world, are attracted to this scenic area because of its high volume of waterfalls.
Listed below are five beautiful waterfalls you’ll encounter while hiking North Alabama’s Bankhead National Forest. As a matter of fact, you’ll be able to experience them all in a single day.

Kinlock Falls is a beautiful waterfall with a 15-foot drop and a span of more than 20 feet. Over the years, it's become one of the area's most popular swimming spots. To reach Kinlock Falls, you'll simply follow the Kinlock Falls Trail, which is an easy 0.3 loop trail.
North Alabama's Parker Falls Trail, which is a 1.7-mile out and back trail, features a lovely waterfall at the end. This waterfall is of course the one and only Parker Falls. It receives visitors from across the state and beyond.
Just like the Parker Falls Trail, North Alabama's Caney Creek Falls Trail is also a 1.7-mile out and back trail. This easy trail will take you straight to Caney Creek Falls, which is one of the most beautiful and most visited waterfalls in the Bankhead National Forest.
The hike to Holmes Chapel Falls, which is located just south of Brushy Lake, is approximately one mile round trip. Even though this waterfall is accessible year-round, it's most impressive during the cooler months.
The trail leading to Sougahoagdee Falls is a 3.5-mile out and back trail that's perfect for all skill levels. Sougahoagdee Falls, which is located on Brushy Creek, is about 30 feet tall and is well worth the hike.
