The park's main attraction is Noccalula Falls, formerly known as Black Creek Falls. Noccalula Falls is a 90-foot waterfall that plunges off a cliff and into a ravine below. It's also one of Alabama's most-visited natural attractions.
In addition to viewing Noccalula Falls from above and behind a railing, you can also hike to the falls using the Noccalula Falls and Historic Gorge via Black Creek Trail. This 2.9-mile loop trail has a moderate rating of difficulty and is accessible year round.
As you're hiking down into the gorge, you'll cross over rocky terrain while passing everything from caves and boulders to Civil War carvings.
