The park's main attraction is Noccalula Falls, formerly known as Black Creek Falls. Noccalula Falls is a 90-foot waterfall that plunges off a cliff and into a ravine below. It's also one of Alabama's most-visited natural attractions.

In addition to viewing Noccalula Falls from above and behind a railing, you can also hike to the falls using the Noccalula Falls and Historic Gorge via Black Creek Trail. This 2.9-mile loop trail has a moderate rating of difficulty and is accessible year round.

Once you reach Noccalula Falls, you can walk behind it. It's one of the few waterfalls in Alabama where you can do this. The best time to experience this waterfall in all of its glory is after a heavy rainfall. That's when the falls is at its fullest and truly resembles Niagara Falls.
