Heirloom Taco is a tiny Mexican restaurant that's located in the heart of Jacksonville, Alabama.
This family owned and operated restaurant, which has an open-air concept and a food truck vibe, is housed inside a former fire station. Since opening for business, it's become a favorite gathering spot for friends, families, and colleagues.
As with most Mexican restaurants, Heirloom Taco offers a great selection of Mexican food. Tacos are of course the restaurant's most famous food (hence its name). They're always made to order using the freshest ingredients available. They also come in a variety of flavors.
Heirloom Taco's enchiladas are also a huge hit among the restaurant's customers. This dish consists of two housemade tortillas that are stuffed with the customer's choice of protein. They're then topped with salsa verde, queso, and pico de gallo. A side of cilantro lime rice is also included.
Flautas are another customer favorite. This dish includes two flautas that have been stuffed with pepper jack cheese and pollo verde. Each one is deep fried to perfection and worth every bite.
For those of you with a sweet tooth, you'll most certainly want to save room for a slice of Heirloom Taco's tres leches cake. It's available in a variety of flavors and a definite must-try.
