Alabama is home to several scenic boardwalks. Most people assume boardwalks can only be found within a beach area, but that’s not the case. In addition to beaches, many of Alabama’s boardwalks are also located at wildlife refuges, inside state parks and on historical sites. Listed below are 10 boardwalks that are perfect for a summer stroll.
1. Bald Rock Boardwalk
This scenic boardwalk is located in Cheaha State Park (Delta) and leads to Bald Rock. Its distance is 0.6 miles out and back.
2. Russell Cave Boardwalk
To access Russell Cave (Bridgeport), you'll have to walk down this boardwalk. When it comes to the longest mapped caves in Alabama, Russell Cave ranks third with a mapped length of 7.2 miles.
