To get up-close-and-personal with the waters of Maine you're going to want to head to Badgers Island Marina in Kittery.

This is where you'll find The Vagabond, a newly remodeled 50-foot houseboat.

Sitting in the marina on the Piscataqua River in Kittery, she's fully outfitted making for one of the most unique and special vacations you can have in Maine.

The boat sleeps six people and there's plenty of room for everyone to have a great time.

There are two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed.

There's also a pullout sofa in the living room.

Speaking of the living room, it's so large you might forget that you're actual on the water.

And the many windows make for an airy and light interior. Not at all what you might expect from living aboard a boat.

The kitchen, or "galley" as it's called on a boat, has a refrigerator, sink, gas stovetop and convection oven as well as a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans and a full set of utensils. You can be fairly self-sufficient here.

There's also a full bathroom, or a "head" as it's called on a boat, with a toilet and shower.

And there's plenty of outdoor space for enjoying warm Maine nights.
