The Snowy South Dakota Adventure You Don’t Want To Miss This Year

Looking for a fun winter getaway? How about a night in a cozy cabin, followed by a day of exploring the snowmobile trails in the Black Hills?

Adventure in the Black Hills awaits you! For a fun adventure, stay at Trailshead Lodge in Lead. It's located at 22075 Highway 85.

Rent a snowmobile for the day and explore the trails around the lodge. The lodge has single or double machines available for rent.

They'll fill your snowmobile up with gas before you leave, and you won't have to pay for the gas or fill it back up when you return.

Rent your snowmobile for a full day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or for a half day from 8 a.m. to Noon or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Your rental also includes a helmet, and the lodge even has cold-weather clothing that you can rent if you need it.

You can easily spend an entire day exploring the trail systems around Lead and Deadwood.

On December 4th, 2017, Trailshead Lodge already had a foot of snow, and they got another seven inches on the 6th.

They'll be ready to rent snowmobiles starting on December 15th.

After a long day on the trails, you'll be ready for a tasty steak dinner at the lodge's restaurant. It's open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Rent a cozy cabin for the night. Cabins sleep up to eight people, with 3-4 queen beds. They also include full bathrooms, linens and Direct TV.
