If You Live In Ohio, You’ll Want To Visit This Amazing Park This Winter

Although ski resorts and chair lifts are probably some of the last things that come to mind when you think of Ohio, you should know that Ohio is home to a pretty epic winter resort. Mad River Mountain in Zanesfield, Ohio features all the wintertime fun you could possibly want—and then some. It's the largest ski and tubing resort in Ohio, featuring 144 acres.

With a total of four parks, each differing in size and activities, there's truly something for everyone at Mad River Mountain.

The Avalanche Tubing Park is loads of fun for families and groups of friends. The 1,000 ft. tubing hill features 10 lanes. (Group tubing rates are also available.)

On the slopes, you can show off your snowboarding and/or skiing skills...

...and if you're not sure how to ski or snowboard, you can take group or private lessons with The Mad River Mountain Ski & Snowboard School.

Currently, the resort is working on finishing its new lodge, which will now be home to the school, retail and administrate departments.
