This Epic Snow Tubing Hill In Northern California Will Give You The Winter Thrill Of A Lifetime

Skiers and snowboarders are well aware of Soda Springs Mountain Resort. Established in 1931, it’s one of the oldest ski resorts in America. However, you don’t to be a skier to enjoy all that Soda Springs has to offer. A portion of the resort is called “Tube Town” — a massive snow tubing hill that offers up to 20 lanes. Your winter won’t be complete until you make a visit to this winter playground!

Soda Springs Resort is located off of Interstate 80 at Donner Summit. It's well known for being a less expensive alternative to the larger ski resorts around Lake Tahoe.

Tube Town is part of Soda Springs Ski Resort, and it's the perfect place to get your thrills in if you're not a skier!

The resort is located just an hour and a half from Sacramento. It's the perfect winter day trip for families looking to get outside and have some fun in the snow.
The tubing hill at Tube Town contains 20 wide lanes for whisking down. It's not just for kids. People of all ages will be screaming with joy as they rush down to the bottom!

There's nothing like speeding down the hill while enjoying the surrounding scenery of pine trees among the fresh mountain air.
Once you reach the bottom, you'll run to the 400-foot surface lift which will bring you back to the top of the hill!

The entry into Tube Town costs $40 for the entire day! You could spend hours on end riding up and down the hill.
The resort is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Skiers and snowboards who have purchased lift tickets may use the tubing hill at no extra cost.

Tube Town is restricted to adults and children who are 42 inches and taller. However, there is a special alternative for young kids!

Planet Kids is located on the western side of the resort and is perfect for small children who want to enjoy the snow. Planet Kids contains a miniature tubing hill, two tube carousels, a "snow volcano" to play play and climb on, and much more.
