This Is The Most Whimsical Store In New Jersey And You’ll Absolutely Love It

New Jersey has some pretty incredible independent businesses. I'm certain there are hundreds I haven't even heard of yet but I am familiar with some truly awesome spots. Today, I'm featuring a unique antique shop that it's almost impossible not to love.

Unshredded Nostalgia is an antique shop that specializes in ephemera.

Ephemera is primarily paper products - posters, postcards, playbills...

You'll also find old catalogs and magazines from the 1900s, 1980s and more. A Time Magazine from the year a loved one was born makes a great gift.

There are old photos, maps and more! Recently, Unshredded Nostalgia had a Civil War-era newspaper from Newark in stock.

If you're a fan of history or pop culture, this is the perfect place for you. In some ways, it's like a museum.

While everything is nicely organized, it's still an adventure searching through the stacks - you never know what you'll find.

But it's not only paper products! There are seasonal items including the beloved Christmas decorations you had as a kid. (Who knows? Could be!)

And, look! It's Santa Claus.

This beautiful bike from 1916 is definitely a showstopper.

They've got areas for almost everything...tools, books, Disney/animation, vinyl, toys, medical supplies, military-related, a poster gallery and much more.

My favorite part of Unshredded Nostalgia? The New Jersey room, of course!

While I find most antique shops to be whimsical, this shop is such a joy to explore and will truly take you on a journey through time. The staff is friendly and helpful, you're more than welcome to browse and you can even find the owner from time to time.
