This Colorful Cafe In Missouri Serves Simply Amazing Food
The FourWay in Cuba, Missouri, is a historic gas station turned Mediterranean restaurant on Route 66.
Route 66 is known to many as the "Main Street of America." It played a major role in American history by being one of the first highways in the U.S. Highway System. If you drive along this route through Missouri, you'll come across a bright, colorful restaurant in Cuba called, The FourWay.
The FourWay was originally built as a Phillips 66 gas station.
Throughout the years, ownership of the gas station changed. In 1968, Bill and Lynn Wallis bought it and it became the first Mobile Gas Station.
It wasn't until 2001 that this former gas station would turn into one of the finest eateries in Cuba, Missouri.
To honor her late husband, Lynn Wallis worked with Viva Cuba a Route 66 to restore the gas station to it's original 1930's look and feel.
To pay homage to Bill and the history of the gas station, artist Ray Harvey was commissioned to paint vintage scenes on the garage bays.
While the outside is vibrant with colors, the inside has a more neutral feel and is extremely homey.
They serve delicious Mediterranean food.
For the adults, they also have a selection of beer and wine to pair with your amazing meal.
When taking a road trip, The FourWay is the perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner.
Pretty cool looking place, isn't it? To experience it for yourself, you can find The FourWay at 102 W. Washington Boulevard in Cuba, Missouri. They are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday and are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
