If you haven't visited yet, there are three entrances to the park--one at Marigny and N. Peters St., which includes an elevator, this red bridge at Piety St. and Chartres St., and then a third entrance at the end of the park, off of Chartres between Bartholomew and Mazant.
This park was built from the leftover warehouses and wharfs found on this part of the Mississippi River.

Designers incorporated former docks and other warehouse areas to create a beautiful park.
One of the things that makes Crescent Park stand out is the unique gardens that abound here.

Landscape architects took care to select plants native to New Orleans and Louisiana that were also attractive to butterflies and other wildlife. It makes for some truly beautiful greenery throughout the park.
