There’s An Adventure Park Hiding Near New Orleans And You Need To Visit

There are some really amazing adventures that you can have in the Louisiana swamps, and one of the biggest reasons for that is how scary alligators can be. You never quite know where they are lurking, and their jaws are some of the most powerful in the entire gulf coast region. So, you can bet that a trip to the Natchitoches Alligator Park is chock full of adventure!

Getting to the park is easy, and it is about a 4 hour drive from New Orleans to the site. The address is 380 Old Bayou Pierre Rd, Natchitoches, LA.

Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff who know how to help you have an absolutely adventurous day.
The first thing you will probably want to do is watch the feeding show.

When you get up close and personal with the alligators it makes it even more difficult to understand how the workers here get so close!

After the show you are welcome to continue to explore the park, which is found in a lovely bayou setting.
Everyone in your group will get the chance to hold and pet a baby alligator.

Even though they are small and cute--they still have really sharp teeth so you need to be careful!
Perhaps most amazingly, the park has white alligators which have become legendary in Louisiana.

Finally, the park is home of all kinds of exotic animals. There are plenty of turtles, ponies, peacocks, goats, and even emu! The baby deer pictured here are just a slice of something really beautiful you'll find here.
