Most People Have No Idea There’s A Fairy Garden Hiding In Delaware And It’s Magical

The DuPonts left Delaware with all sorts of wonderful things – from a comprehensive highway system, to a great hospital, and of course, more manufacturing than anyone could have expected. One thing that we really appreciate in this state is that, as part of their legacy, many of their impressive estates have been preserved as museums, and they are open for public tour. One such estate is the famous Winterthur, where you can meet with some of Delaware’s most magical residents.

Winterthur, and the Enchanted Woods, is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. You can find them at 5105 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807. Admission to the grounds starts at just $5 for children ages 2-11. Student admission, from ages 12-18, is just $18 – and the same price is valid for Senior admission. Regular adult admission is $20. Your ticket is valid for two consecutive days, includes a garden tram tour, a house tour, and access to the galleries and special exhibitions.
