Way back in 1895, Buffalo Bill Cody decided to help create a destination city in the heart of Wyoming. Just a few years later, in 1902, the Hotel Irma opened.
Buffalo Bill was proud of his latest establishment, and he named it after his youngest daughter. At the time, Cody was one of the most famous people in the world, and it didn't take long for travelers to begin to fill up the rooms on their trips and vacations.
After you enjoy your short Wild West show, head inside and dine at the famous restaurant that's known for its prime rib buffet. The cherry wood bar in the room was donated to Cody from Queen Victoria!
There is history everywhere you look in Wyoming, and the Hotel Irma is one of the most storied spots in the Cowboy State. Stop in to learn a little more about this historic town, restaurant, and hotel.
