Wisconsin is one of the most geologically interesting states. This is because it was greatly affected by the Ice Age some 12,000 years ago. Many ridges formed between two glaciers. The result was supremely incredible rock formations along the western part of the state. Some of the most beautiful parts of Wisconsin are right near Baraboo. But the most stunning is a little place known as Pewit’s Nest. Many people don’t know this place exists, and we like it that way. It looks like something out of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. It’s magical, and it just doesn’t seem real. So you really need to check this place out.
