You already know this, but Wisconsin is number 1. No, really. In a lot of categories, Wisconsin leads the nation. For better or worse, here are things Wisconsin leads the country in.
1. Most NFL Titles
Steel curtain ain't got nothing on this. We have 13 total.
2. Most People Who Binge Drink
This is not one to be proud of, but anyone who has lived here more than a week can confirm this stat.
3. Milk goats
We have lots of cows, but we actually have the most milk goats in the country.
4. Cranberry Production
Wisconsin produces a whopping 60% of the nation's cranberries.
5. Beets
Wisconsin produces almost half (47%) of the nation's beets.
6. Cheese Production
Wisconsin produces 2.8 billion pounds of cheese each year.
7. Mink pelts
Yes, people still wear mink coats apparently, and Wisconsin provides 1/3 of the nation's mink.
8. Cattle Genetic Exports
Most of these cute guys aren't born after a nice candlelight dinner but through science. Wisconsin ships $91 million of bovine genetic material.
9. Dry Whey
Whey is the byproduct when milk curdles. We produce 300 million pounds annually.
You might not want to scream "We're the best" after all of these, but we definitely lead the nation.
