The railroad is based at N6639 Dilly Lake Road in Trego, just north of Spooner, Wisconsin.
The historic train experience takes place in the wild Northwoods of Wisconsin, on a 15-mile stretch of the old Chicago & Northwestern track between Spooner and Springbrook. The tracks were laid more than a century ago.
The train travels at a leisurely pace along the Namekagon River and passes through farm fields and forests.
There are a variety of excursions available, including an evening dinner train and an overnight bed and breakfast train. Enjoy a drink on any ride!
The dinner train offers an unforgettable evening on the tracks. Start with a cocktail from the bar and when you’re ready head to the first class dining car. Enjoy appetizers, soup, a carefully chosen entree and a slice of gourmet cheesecake. The evening might pass quickly but you don’t need to be in a hurry - the train is open all night and you’re welcome to hang out with your friends.
The train also offers an overnight experience. If you book a ticket on the bed & breakfast train, you’ll get your own stateroom and a dinner service. LED lighting under the car illuminates the countryside after dark so you can enjoy the views on the evening ride.
In addition to the dinner and bed and breakfast excursions, the train also offers a wine & cheese train and a family pizza train.
