The Pfister hotel was founded by Charles Pfister after his father, a German immigrant named Guido Pfister, had the idea to create a "People’s Palace" in which all people could gather together.

The three-story grand lobby was indeed an elegant gathering place for all. Though the hotel is welcoming to everyday people, it’s housed many great presidents, prime ministers, famous athletes, and celebrities as guests.

This is especially true for baseball players! A few famous MLB players have been spooked pretty bad. They’ve heard knocking on their headboards, voices in the hallways, and one even reported their iPod mysteriously turning on and vibrating across a table. They were so scared that they began sleeping with their bats!

The ghost of the owner is known to watch over his palace. It’s rumored that he can be seen all over the hotel, from the staircases to the rooms, watching out for his guests, so you might want to sleep with one eye open!

Though The Pfister is known for it's paranormal sightings, it's still a world-class hotel and provides the best hospitality around. From the chocolate on the pillows, to the exceptional service, this is an incredible hotel—and you might even get a ghost story to write home about!
