Mars Cheese Castle is a popular roadside attraction in Wisconsin known for its specialty cheeses, deli, bakery, kitchen, and tavern.

If you grew up in Milwaukee, odds are you've seen this roadside castle while traveling to Chicago. Whether your parents pulled over to check it out or you just dreamed of it from afar, everyone recognizes the sign of this attraction just south of Milwaukee. Check out one of the biggest names in Wisconsin tourism, but beware: it might get cheesy.

Welcome to Mars Cheese Castle!

This specialty store for cheeses, meats, and everything in between was founded in 1957.

Founders Mario and Martha Ventura have made this roadside attraction one of the biggest tourism spots in the state!

In 2010, they demolished the original store to build a beautiful castle, but the iconic sign still stands tall and they even added an addition in 2016.

Mars Cheese Castle has been around as long as most of us can remember, but is still growing to this day.

Not only are they known for their specialty cheeses (which are amazing), they also have a deli, bakery, kitchen, and tavern.

After you're done shopping through over 700 varieties of fine cheeses, you can sit down and have the best grilled cheese or cheeseburger of your life.

...or stop in the bakery for some unique treats.

This roadside attraction wouldn't be truly Midwestern without a tavern, where they claim to have the best Bloody Mary around.

The gift shop carries many items, from wacky knick-knacks to wines and brews you can only find in Wisconsin.

If you're looking to be the star of your next Packer party, they offer incredible party plates too!

Mars Cheese Castle is an iconic spot just south of Milwaukee, and their friendly staff members make the experience even more pleasant.
