Time for a lunch break! Milwaukee is full of spectacular lunch spots, so it's hard to say who has the best sandwiches in town. Luckily, we picked them out for you! Whether you're looking for a sandwich bigger than your head, something hearty, or something lighter, these are the seven best Milwaukee sandwiches.
1. The Gatsby at Fuel Cafe on 5th.
Fuel Cafe is known for their original cafe in Riverwest, but they opened a Walker's Point location in 2016 featuring a full menu! On this menu is one of the greatest sandwiches around: The Gatsby. This 12-inch baguette is Fuel's take on a South African street sandwich. Although it might take you awhile to finish, it's well worth it.
Fuel Cafe 5th St. is located at 630 S. 5th St., Milwaukee.
2. Turkey Club at Colectivo Coffee.
This classic sandwich is done right at Colectivo. With bacon, swiss, and pesto mayo on your choice of bread, you can't go wrong.
Colectivo has multiple locations throughout the city, so you can find this sandwich wherever you go!
3. Deluxe Fish at Sobelmans.
Sobelmans might be most known for their gigantic cheeseburgers and Bloody Marys, but their fish sandwich is to die for. If you can't make it to a fish fry this weekend, this is your best bet for the next best thing!
Sobelmans Pub and Grill is located at 1900 W. St. Paul Ave., Milwaukee.
4. Philly Cheesesteak at Boo Boo's.
Boo Boo's Sandwiches is the latest hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop in Walker's Point. Although the little spot can be hard to find, it's well worth the search. Their cheesesteak will melt your heart and leave you full, and don't forget to add their freshly made fries!
Boo Boo's Sandwiches is located at 405 S. 2nd St., Milwaukee.
5. Tuno Melt at Beerline Cafe.
In Milwaukee, we eat meat with almost every meal. It's a Midwestern thing. Beerline Cafe, however, offers alternatives that are loved by all! Their vegan "tuno" melt is uncannily similar to tuna, and its melty goodness is loved by all.
Beerline Cafe is located at 2076 N. Commerce St., Milwaukee.
6. Pastrami on Rye at Jake's Deli.
This classic deli has been around for decades, and they're still serving up the best cuts of deli meat! You can go all out with their Reuben and be completely satisfied, but this simple creation is everything you need in a sandwich.
Jake's Deli is located at 1634 W. North Ave., Milwaukee.
7. Corned Beef from McBob's.
There's nothing true Milwaukeeans love more than a good corned beef sandwich! There are many contenders in the city, but if you take it back to the Irish roots, McBob's does it best.
McBob's is located at 4919 W. North Ave., Milwaukee.
