Not long ago, we told you about Canadian Pacific’s Holiday Train, which will stop in several Wisconsin cities this year. But that’s not the only holiday must-see making its way to the Badger State. There’s also the Ice Castles exhibit. Though not scheduled to open until January 2020, it sells out quick, so you’ve got to act fast when it comes to tickets. Read on for all the deets, so you don’t miss this magical event.
Ice Castles is a frozen attraction that’s located in six cities across North America – and lucky for us, Lake Geneva is one of them.
Though Ice Castles is fairly new to Lake Geneva (this is its 2nd year in the city), the award-winning attraction has been around for nearly 20 years!
The magical exhibit is made up of ice castles, which are created using thousands of icicles – a feat that’s even more impressive when you learn it’s all set up by hand.
Dubbed an over-the-top ice kingdom, the exhibit features tunnels, thrones, slides, and fountains.
There are also LED-lit sculptures, only adding to the magic.
An internationally renowned winter phenomenon, Ice Castles is a must-see. Luckily, it’ll be in Lake Geneva until March 2020.
Remember, it’s set to open sometime in early January 2020. A definite date hasn’t been set yet because it depends on the weather.
When the exhibit does open, you can visit Tuesday – Thursday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday – Sunday 12 p.m. – 11 p.m. Once inside, there’s no time limit, which means you can take your time soaking in the exhibit’s majestic splendor.
Tickets, which can be purchased from the Ice Castles website, will go on sale 7-10 days prior to its opening.

Ice Castles plans to open at the Geneva National Resort in early January 2020 and remain open until March. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Ice Castles website or Facebook page. You can also check out the Geneva National Resort website.
