Since the opening of a Nestle factory in the 1960s, the small town of Burlington has become synonymous with chocolate.
In the 1980s, Nestle executives along with city officials wanted to celebrate the chocolate conglomerate’s 20th year of doing business in Burlington. And so, the town was nicknamed Chocolate City U.S.A. and ChocolateFest was created.
Throughout the event, there are lots of ways for attendees to have chocolate-related fun. A candy wrapper fashion show, demonstrations, and chocolate carving contests are all part of that fun.
Remember, this year’s ChocolateFest is May 22nd – May 25th. For more information, call (262) 763-3300. You can also visit the ChocolateFest website or Facebook page.
