Wisconsin isn’t the first place people think of when they think of rare, unique and exotic animals, but as an area known for farming and livestock, adding in more unusual animals isn’t exactly a stretch. With plenty of open farmland and people experienced with raising animals, Wisconsin is a natural location for an exotic animal farm. Up in Sister Bay, you’ll find a family-owned farm where the owners started with llamas but quickly found that they had the room — and love — to welcome all kinds of interesting animals. They quickly added Bactrian camels to their menagerie and now they’re one of the coolest possible places you could visit in Wisconsin. Stoneboat Farms in Door County is a special, licensed spot where you can get up close and personal with some gorgeous, wonderful and unique animals.

Please note, Stoneboat Farms is no longer in business.
