This Easy, Quarter-Mile Trail Leads To Brush Creek Falls, One Of West Virginia’s Most Underrated Waterfalls
It’s no secret that part of what makes West Virginia wild and wonderful are the many creeks and rivers that rush their way down toward the Atlantic (or the Gulf Of Mexico) via hundreds of jaw-dropping waterfalls. Blackwater Falls and Sandstone Falls are famous West Virginia icons, but there are many other under-rated falls throughout the state. One of them is Brush Creek Falls in Mercer County.

The falls are just a short distance from the parking area on Brush Creek Falls Rd (County Route 3).

A second falls is located farther into the nature preserve along the same trail.

The only downside to the falls is that sometimes visitors choose not to pack out their trash when they're done enjoying the area. Please don't be one of them!
