Stay Overnight In A 120-Year-Old Hotel That’s Said To Be Haunted At The Lowe Hotel In West Virginia
Have you ever had a paranormal experience? If you grew up in West Virginia, you may have — the Mountain State is full of haunted places and spooky stories. If you want to experience one firsthand, just book a stay at one of our haunted hotels. The Lowe Hotel in Point Pleasant is especially full of ghostly tales.

Back then, it was known as the Spencer Hotel (in honor of J.S. Spencer).

These days, the hotel is owned by the Finley family, who are careful to preserve its historic charms.

In the 1920s, it had an elegant dance hall. And although the stock market crash of 1929 changed things, it has always been an upscale place to stay.

There are so many spirits that have been spotted and sensed here, it's impossible to keep up.

In a suite on the third floor that overlooks the Ohio River, you might spot the spirit of Captain Jim, or Jimbo as he is often called. He has told several guests that he's waiting for "the boat" to arrive.

There's nothing quite as chilling as walking down the hallway alone but having the unmistakable feeling of being watched. And if you're walking down the second floor hall, listen closely for the sound of a squeaking tricycle wheel and a laughing young boy.

You might also not have a paranormal experience at all, of course, But even if you do, whatever haunts these halls is definitely not unfriendly or out for trouble.

Whether or not it's truly haunted, it's still a lovely place to stay.
