Cheat Lake in Monongalia County is well-known as a destination for water adventure: conveniently located just 10 minutes east of Morgantown, its 1,730 acres are perfect for swimming, boating, kayaking, tubing, and any other kind of water recreation. There are sandy beaches and family fun at Cheat Lake Park, and boat, jet ski, and canoe rentals at Sunset Beach Marina, not to mention hiking on the Cheat Lake Trail.

But after a day on and around the lake, there's also a perfect place to relax with a great meal and a cold drink and a beautiful sunset.
