If you’re looking for a picturesque drive in the wild, wonderful Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, look no further than the Paint Creek Scenic Trail. This backroad route takes you from Tamarack in Beckley through the charming town of Pax (I mention that location in particular because OF COURSE you’ll want to fill up like we did at The Corner Gas and Grill as you’re passing through) all the way north to Pratt and the Kanawha River. Along the way, you can experience the stunning beauty and rich history of the Appalachian Mountains in all their glory.
