This Video Taken At The New River Gorge Bridge Will Leave You Stunned

This awesome video shows BASE jumpers jumping off of the New River Gorge Bridge!

The New River Gorge Bridge is 876 feet high, 3030 feet long, 70 feet wide, and is 88 million pounds! This bridge is one of the highest vehicular bridges in the world, and is the fourth longest steel single-span arch bridge in the world. WOW!

For those of you that aren’t familiar with BASE jumping, BASE stands for: building, antenna, span, and Earth (like cliffs). People really do this extreme sport right here in West Virginia!

Bridge Day is a one-day festival in Fayetteville, West Virginia held every October! The bridge is completely closed to traffic on Bridge Day and an estimated 400 people jump off the bridge each year!
