Only two days of train rides are on the schedule for 2022: Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Each train ride lasts approximately 30 minutes, and rides will begin at 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. each day.
As the name of the event suggests, there will be hot cocoa!

Please note that only 40 people can fit per train ride, and advance reservations are not accepted, so it's first come, first serve for this particular train ride.

Furthermore, the Locust Heights & Western train cars are open air, so please dress warmly, both for riding the train and for waiting in line to receive a ticket.
The suggested donation for the train ride is at least $5 per person. Everyone who donates will receive a ticket on the day of the event, and tickets are required to board the train.

No indoor public restrooms are available at the Locust Heights & Western Depot, but there is an outhouse.

The train will be pulled by the old Locust Heights & Western steam locomotive if possible, although an alternate engine might be used in case of heavy snow accumulation.
