When most visitors head to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, their sights are set on immersing themselves in the history of the old town wedged between the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. And while there IS a lot to see and do in the historic area, there’s also an amazing miniature train ride just outside the old town that is a can’t miss on any trip to Harpers Ferry.

VERY IMPORTANT: The Harpers Ferry Toy Train Museum and Joy Line Railroad are only open seasonally! They are currently closed for the season and will reopen in April 2019. Follow their Facebook page here to keep up with the opening day once it’s announced. The address for this fun attraction is 933 Bakerton Rd., Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. The current price to ride the train is $2 per person.
