Zulu’s Board Game Cafe In Washington Is A Gamer’s Paradise

Zulu’s Board Game Cafe in Bothell combines dining and board games in a family-friendly, community-oriented space.

Dining out and playing board games with friends are two things many of us have been missing over the last year. And as Washington's small businesses begin to open back up, we hope you'll consider combining the two at Zulu's Board Game Cafe. After all, no one will serve you delicious chicken tenders and beer from the tap when you're playing at home (probably).

Zulu's Board Game Cafe is located on Main Street in Bothell, an underrated city about 17 miles north of Seattle.

The board game themed restaurant opened in April of 2016, and it's been a popular local hangout ever since.

This is a family-owned, community-oriented space, meant to be a spot for friends to gather.

The interior is both mystical and inviting, with hints of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones themes.

Stop by and shop for your favorite board and card games, which can also be purchased online...

... or, better yet, stick around for a while and play them.

While regulations have changed in recent months, limited indoor seating is available for small groups.

Zulu's is a local hub for Magic: the Gathering, X-Wing, Star Wars: Destiny, and Final Fantasy tournaments, which will resume as soon as possible.

Soon, they'll be able to host their weekly meet-ups again.

But there's one thing here you don't have to wait for -- the delicious food.

The menu consists mainly of appetizers and delicious fried snacks, which taste especially amazing with a cold craft beer or a cider.

Zulu's Board Game Cafe is open daily from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Stop by and check out their game selection, or order a tasty lunch and get ready to play.

Zulu's Board Game Cafe is a total blast. But if you won't be in Bothell anytime soon, you can always check out their online shop.
